About the project

This request was a change request for the K–16 Data Sharing Pilot, initially approved by the K-16 Data Sharing & Innovation Workgroup earlier that year. The pilot originally commenced on March 18, 2024, with an expected completion date of June 21, 2024, and a total budget of $350,000.

Due to delays in negotiating the Data Sharing Agreement with partner entities and a longer-than-expected timeline for engaging pilot participant organizations, the completion date was extended.
Additionally, $400,000 in additional funding was required to continue the resourcing necessary to complete the pilot project. This funding also covered the expanded scope of the Slalom engagement, which included developing dashboards to illustrate data sharing between CSUS, Elk Grove USD, and LRCCD. These dashboards encompassed Adult Learner and Dual Enrollment populations, focusing on the K-16 Project topics of Healthcare Career Pathway and Engineering/Computing Career Pathway.
