Program Information
This project expanded collaboration across healthcare, postsecondary, and K–12 sectors by embedding a CDPH-accredited Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification program within the existing Patient Care Pathway at the health professions high school.
About the project
This project expanded collaboration across the healthcare, postsecondary, and K–12 sectors and also deepened dual enrollment through a dedicated academic counselor who supported college course alignment and student progress.
With strong hospital and care home partnerships, the project increases work-based learning opportunities and strengthened career pathways. It directly benefits low-income, first-generation students of color and strengthens the regional talent pipeline in healthcare — creating scalable, equity-driven access to college and career readiness for underserved youth.
This project is ongoing, and we will continue to update this post as more information becomes available.
