About the project
Breakthrough Sacramento, in partnership with SCOE and Los Rios Colleges (ARC), expanded dual enrollment access for priority youth. The 7-week summer program offered students the opportunity to earn up to 4 college credits in Life and Career Planning and College Success.
Students built skills for asynchronous learning through guided lessons, tutoring, and near-peer mentorship, while also creating multi-year academic plans to continue their dual enrollment journey. Year-round coaching and study labs helped reinforce persistence beyond the summer program.
The initiative strengthened college readiness, boosted academic confidence, and established a replicable pipeline of historically underserved students earning college credit before high school graduation — with long-term, scalable impact.
We will continue to update this post as more information becomes available.
